No Secrets Here

Pricing for promotional products is based on a number of factors, including volume, imprint method, logo size and complexity, and colours. You can trust Power to find the best pricing to suit your needs, and we will always tell you up front of any extra costs which may be associated with your order. Below is a list of common costs associated with promotional products.

Screen Printing (apparel and other textiles)

Unlike embroidery, the price of screen printing is determined by the number of colours in the imprint, not size. There is a $20 set-up per colour, per design. The reason for this is that screens have to be physically created for each colour of a design, and that process is labour intensive.

Embroidery

Embroidery pricing is determined by the thread count of the artwork. The number of colours does not affect the price of embroidery. In order to give you accurate embroidery pricing, we first need to get a stitch count estimate of your logo. We can provide this at no charge based on any version of your logo (jpg, pdf, gif, tiff, etc.). Once we have determined the stitch count, we can provide pricing based on the total quantity of items ordered.

Unlike screen printing, there are no additional charges if you want to change the colour of your logo on various items. For example, you may order 10 black golf shirts with white embroidery, 15 white sweatshirts with red embroidery, and 25 red t-shirts with white embroidery, and your order still qualifies for 50-piece pricing.

Also unlike screen printing, with embroidery there is only a one-time set-up of $30 for most logos. Embroidery files are digital, so once they are created, they do not need to be created again.

pad printing

Most non-apparel products include a one-colour pad printed imprint in their price. Extra charges usually apply for more than one colour. There are many products that allow for full-colour printing. There is usually a set-up fee for pad printing, determined by the supplier.

Engraving/Embossing/Debossing

Engraving is a personalization method used on metal products such as stainless steel travel mugs, pocket knives, desk accessories, and metal writing instruments. Embossing/debossing is used primarily on leather or imitation leather products such as padfolios, coasters, bags, and leather apparel. Both methods typically have artwork set-up costs, but the actual imprinting is included in the price of your product. There is usually a set-up fee for all of these decoration methods, determined by the supplier.

Sublimation

Sublimation is a process that uses magic(?) to transfer a full-colour digital image to an item. Products such as table cloths, lens cloths, socks and other polyester fabric goods are often decorated using sublimation. This is a great way to get a lot of colour onto an item, and a way to decorate the entire surface of an item. The pricing always includes a full-colour print, and typically covers the entire item. There is sometimes a set-up fee for sublimation, determined by the supplier.

Direct-to-garment printing

Another great decoration method for full-colour printing, direct-to-garment (DTG) printing is a touchless, vibrant print method. Pricing always includes a full-colour print, but is based on the square inch size of the print. Another factor, which is unique to DTG printing, is the colour of the garment, and the fabric type. White, 100% cotton garments are the cheapest to print. Any other colour is more expensive, as are garments with polyester in the mix. There is usually a set-up fee for DTG printing.

Set-up Fees

Many manufacturers and imprinters require a set-up fee for artwork. In some cases, this is a one-time fee, and the charge will not be repeated should you choose to use the exact same artwork again for a future order. Set-up fees vary with different suppliers and product types.

Digitization Fees

In order to be embroidered, logos must first be digitized specifically for embroidery. The price for of digitizing for most logos is $30. This price may increase if your logo has a very high stitch count.

Artwork Creation Fees

If your artwork does not meet our requirements for the product you are creating, we can provide artwork assistance for a fee.

Price Breaks

The pricing on most promotional products goes down as quantity increases. We will always let you know if your order qualifies for a break in price based on quantity. There are minimum order quantities required for many of our products. These minimums vary depending on the type of product. There are no minimums for clothing.
